Origin of the Club

At the request of young thinkers from Fontamara 27—knowledgeable researchers seeking not only knowledge but also a new mindset to access a new way of living and acting—the Club of Friends of Emerging Truth was born. The inaugural meeting took place on the afternoon of Sunday, July 29, 2000, followed by other meetings aimed at expanding the scope of activities as time went on. To date, the club's members had been meeting in a closed circuit due to challenges faced. The situation is now improving steadily, and the reception is unanimous.

Fundamental Views

The Club of Friends of Emerging Truth is a socio-educational club with a new inspiration and an expanded vision of Haitian reality. From this perspective, the club members wish to unite to elevate the torch of peace, love, and progress to its highest level, so that its energizing flame shines on every citizen of goodwill who is committed to working for the advancement and progress of Haiti. The C.A.V.É. has always been a magnet for young people from diverse backgrounds. Thanks to its mode of operation, it continues to attract many young people to its weekly meetings despite the years. For the leaders, it is not just about meeting every Monday but also about enabling young people to participate in developing a vision and fostering a sense of belonging to the club, which they call the CAVEEN spirit. According to them, a CAVEEN or CAVEENNE is someone who voluntarily participates in not only the club's various activities but also contributes to its full flourishing. This requires two conditions: love and sacrifice. The C.A.V.É. is a charitable club aiming to carve out a prominent place alongside those who have long been working for the emergence of a new type of men, women, and children within society. Governed by new mentalities, these types of citizens will contribute to promoting the emancipation of our society from old habits that only impoverish it further. The Club of Friends of Emerging Truth is a non-profit sociocultural movement seeking to recruit volunteers. The club aims to recruit both young and older individuals concerned about the country's future and willing to contribute sincerely to its full development. Rebuilding our country, mending the long-torn social fabric, creating a new framework where unity, love, and harmony prevail, uniting citizens for the revalorization of our culture and land are dreams that can be realized, provided they are guided by the goodwill of everyone. It is in this spirit that the club aims to contribute to the building of this new Haiti that will emerge sooner or later.

Club Meetings

According to the criteria defined by the executive committee, the club meets once a week, every Monday. These diverse, simple, and engaging meetings are termed ordinary meetings. The frequency of these meetings may vary according to the executive committee or the general board's decisions. In case of urgency, club members may be called to an extraordinary meeting to discuss and find a common solution to a given situation. The general assembly will occur once a year until further notice. It is up to the executive committee, with approval from the board of directors, to publish the notice of the general assembly.

Note: Becoming a member of the Club of Friends of Emerging Truth is not a stroke of luck but a wise and intelligent choice.
